Description
Rail Joint Bars or Fishplates are used to connect sections of rail together. The prototype is bolted through the rail on either side and they are one of the most visible details on sidings and lesser used rail lines.
This specific version is ideally suited for HO scale Code 70 or Code 83 and is sold in a set of 10. These are 3D Printed from a detailed model and feature alternate bolts and nuts per the prototype.
As with all incredibly fine detail parts, they need to be handled with care! We recommend removing spike heads from your track where they will be located to ensure a smooth fit inside the web of the rail.
These are made from prototype measurements and can be used on the inside flange of the rail as well without clearance issues (in most cases)* – we have tested with a number of newer rolling stock, but it is recommend to test with all rollingstock with one before installing a whole bunch!
For installation we recommend priming these with Tamiya Primer before installation. Use a tiny amount of Gel CA, and paint in place with the rail.
